Director and Lead Teacher:
Favorite Bible Verse: Philippians 4:13(NIV) "I can do everything through Him who gives me strength."
Hello, my name is Mary Gruber and I am honored and privileged to serve the Lord and Crown of Life Lutheran Preschool as the Director and Lead Teacher. With God's guidance, I look forward to ministering to the young children and take my responsibility to fulfill their educational needs very seriously.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Toledo and, after several years of being a stay-at-home-mom, I pursued a career in teaching and obtained my teacher certification and Lutheran synodical colloquy from Concordia University, Ann Arbor. I have also completed 18 credit hours towards my Master's Degree in Education at Marygrove College and am licensed through the state of Michigan with a Professional Education Certificate for Elementary, K-5 all subjects.
With nearly 20 years of education experience in Lutheran schools, my classroom focus has been in grades K to 3 for all aspects of the curriculum. Most recently, I was the Kindergarten teacher for two years at Trinity Lutheran in Monroe, and was also the 2nd grade teacher at St. John Lutheran in New Boston for many years.
My mission as a Lutheran school teacher is to impart to your child, through my words and actions, the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and to instill the desire to grow each day in His faith. I will help foster in your child a love of lifelong learning and I will help equip him/her with the spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional, and physical skills that are essential to do the Lord's work on earth. I will integrate our Christian beliefs in all aspects of the curriculum.
I live in Rochester with John, my husband of nearly 40 years. We are blessed with four, grown children and three grandchildren.
Favorite Bible Verse: John 15:5 "I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."
Hi, my name is Juliana Liu and I'm so happy to become a member of the Crown of Life preschool family. My first priority is to ensure that your child has a safe, healthy, positive and happy learning environment. I hope all of you will have a good journey in this school.
I will soon be completing my degree at Oakland Community College, majoring in Early Childhood Education, with a minor in Accounting. I have worked as an early childhood educator at private and public daycares, with toddler to pre-K age groups. My work experience has focused on student-centered activities in a classroom environment.
My goal is to help all students improve their abilities and develop their skills physically, academically and socially. The students will engage in active learning through interactions with materials, people and events in this classroom.
I live in Rochester Hills with my family. My husband works as a professor at Oakland University. My daughter is in 7th grade at Van Hoosen Middle School, and my son is in 2nd grade at Musson Elementary School. We enjoy living in this beautiful city and may God bless us in daily life. Thank you!
